Perplexity’s Ai- Failures – 02

In this second installment of our series, we dissect another visual misfire from Perplexity’s AI-generated content—this time, a graphic meant to illustrate SEO best practices.

The image is supposed to be split into two halves: “SEO Do’s” and “SEO Don’ts.”  But it is not, while the layout is clean, the execution is anything but.

  • On the “Do’s” side, we see a bar graph, a magnifying glass over a webpage, and a circular badge with the baffling phrase “ZHOO COFVERT.” This gibberish not only fails to convey any SEO concept—it actively undermines the image’s credibility.
  • The magnifying glass is generic and lacks context. What aspect of SEO is it highlighting? Keyword research? Page indexing? The ambiguity leaves viewers guessing.
  • On the “Don’ts” side, we get a spam envelope and a document icon—fair enough. But the crossed-out pills? No explanation, no metaphor, just confusion. Is it a warning against black-hat SEO? Or a failed attempt at visual metaphor?

This is a textbook case of AI-generated visuals lacking editorial oversight. The image tries to educate but ends up misleading. It’s not just about aesthetics—it’s about clarity, accuracy, and trust.
